Whether it is a new business launch, a seminar announcement or a personnel change, we take care with every press release and press contact, making sure we hit the right reporters and craft the news in the most compelling manner.
It is the personal touch that sets us apart from larger communications firms. We tailor projects to your budget, and have the flexibility to work on special one-time projects, on a consulting basis as well as in a long-term retainer program. We are a completely scalable operation – our team grows depending on our clients' needs. We work with virtual teams, online, and keep our overhead lean and our operations efficient.
We work with an outstanding team of suppliers. We have graphic artists, layout and production experts, web designers and printers who excel in their fields and who share our desire to deliver effective, eye-catching materials.
Erica Zeidenberg, Principal
Erica Zeidenberg has been a marketing and public relations professional for the last 20 years, working in both the consumer and high technology arenas. In 2001, she founded Hot Tomato Marketing, a public relations and marketing communications consulting firm. At Hot Tomato Zeidenberg specializes in finding and selling “the story”—what sets a client’s business or service apart and how best to communicate that story to the appropriate journalists so they want to write about it.
Zeidenberg provides public relations services to a broad range of clients—from high tech to small- and mid-size consumer businesses. Clients include credit unions, Chamber of Commerce, investment management and financial services firms and other professional service providers. Among other Hot Tomato clients are an educational foundation, search engine marketing firm, credit union and fitness clubs. Hot Tomato Marketing has garnered press coverage for clients in such publications as the San Francisco Chronicle, Health Magazine, Contra Costa Times, KGO radio, Discovery Channel, CNN, San Jose Mercury News, San Francisco Business Times, East Bay Business Times, and various trade and industry magazines and online publications.
Prior to starting her own firm, Zeidenberg worked on the corporate side as a marketing communications manager at Sun Microsystems and as a marketing communications director at a telecommunications technology company. She also worked in several account capacities at a large, San Francisco public relations agency specializing in technology clients, including Sun Microsystems.
Zeidenberg, who holds a master’s degree from Boston University in Broadcast Journalism and a B.A. in American Studies from the University of Rochester, worked for several years in national public television programs. She started her career in public relations at a small San Francisco boutique agency.
